As temperatures continue to hover near a “feels like” 40 degrees Celsius in the small beach town of Puerto Escondido, staff at Club Bacocho are getting things ready for the wave of 72 players that will arrive for the America’s Cup on Thursday Feb.29.
The padel club is situated right near the beach — only meters from the ocean and so close you can hear the waves crashing. The lush greenery courtside mixed in with bright blue skies will make for a picturesque backdrop once the 12-team tournament kicks off.
