Connecticut scraped through to the Semifinal after winning the Mini-Playoffs in an exciting finish by 1 point on point differentials. And San Diego booked their ticket in the America’s Cup Final beating Miami in the Semi-Final played yesterday.

It was a big day of Padel with more than 10 games of Padel on show.

Group C was up first in the morning session where Miami beat Charlotte 3-0 which included a  tight Men’s D1 match (Miami won 10-6 in the tie breaker) and D2 battle (Miami won 7-5 in the second set). Calgary beat Oaxaca 3-0 that had exciting contests in the Women’s Division (7-5, 6-0) and Men’s D2 (6-4, 6-7, 10-6).

Chile and Atlanta secured wins over Toronto and San Francisco both 3-0 in the Group A matches. The Atlanta-San Francisco Women’s Division match was enthralling with Atlanta winning in the tie-break 13-11.

San Diego defeated Austin 3-0 and Connecticut won against Montreal in the late afternoon Group B matches. San Diego just got over the line in their Men’s D1 match 7-6, 7-5. And for Connecticut the Men’s D2 game went to 10-8 in the tie-break to Connecticut.

After the Round Robin matches were completed all attention was on centre court for the Mini-Playoffs. The result came down to one point. Each team finished on the same record of 2-1 and it was Connecticut who clinched the final Semi Final spot on point differentials by one point.

San Diego defeated Miami (2-1) in the #2 Semi Final last night. Miami won the Men’s D1 (7-5, 6-4) but it was San Diego who claimed convincing wins in the Men’s D2 and Women’s Division.
